I paid £60 for this in sealed new format, based on rave reviews - shipped from America. Endless crackle and clicks on both sides despite looking pristine and numerous cleaning cycles on a HumminGuru. Same thing has happened with the new Record Store day "Caribou" which is an almost unlistenable mess with clicks and what sounds like scratches that last several revolutions but entirely invisible when examining the pristine surface of the disk. So sick of this with Elton John vinyl. The propellor version of "Madman Across the Water" had crackle and clicks too! I won't be bothering with any more Elton John titles based on the experiences so far.

Never listened to this record growing up but the older I got the more I like it. You can really appreciate Elton’s growing talent and confidence. This record has great vibe to it throughout. My pressing is fantastic! Highly recommended!

Great dynamic sound on this one. Not lacking in bass

There is no lyric book. The lyrics are printed on the inner sleeve.

i agree with everyone else, it sounds amazing, crisp and clean.
though id prefer a tan, brown or yellow LP to match the artwork. but still. 10/10

Best I've heard this album sound. Flat, quiet vinyl. Excellent pressing and lovely packaging quality.

People on here raving about the Bob Ludwig remasters. HMV recently had Tumbleweed Connection at half price so I took the opportunity to hear for myself.

It's not bad sounding, but it's not great either. I wasn't expecting AAA levels of dynamics and openness but these digital remasters are just alright on vinyl and no more. The digital download that comes with this sounds great on my iPod. They really should have released these Bob Ludwig remasters on CD also. But of course, they would only be able to charge a third of what they charge for vinyl.

Some people reporting clicks and pops on Side 1, track 5. Mine has it on the beginning of Side 2, track 1. The click comes once for about 5 or 6 revolutions. Annoyingly, Where To Now, St Peter is one of the best songs on the album.

The record is cut very quiet so you really have to turn the volume knob up.
